Pastor's Letter

Happy New Year Holmes Grove United Methodist Church,
The past six months have been amazing. We are enjoying our time with you.

COVID-19, the Delta, Omicron and other variants are on the rise again. We are still wearing of
masks, social distancing, and encouraging people to get the vaccination and the booster. I have
ordered N95 masks for everyone in attendance, which will be here soon. We want to continue to “Do
no harm, do good, and stay in love with Jesus” as we rebuild the body of Christ, with our vision: “To be an intergenerational congregation of Christians who love to serve God together.”

We had a great celebration of Advent and the Christmas season, here at Holmes Grove. It was great
to see so many people in attendance for our Christmas Eve Service. We have resumed our Winter
Bible Study after taking a two-week break. I am looking forward to starting something for our young
people this year. In addition, I am patiently waiting for us to do more activities together when it is safe
to gather.

As we are gaining frequent followers, both family and friends, on social media, it is important that we
implement online giving, which will increase our contributions to our various ministries. In addition, I
would like to add TV screens to the sanctuary and fellowship hall.

We are thankful for how God is blessing us here at Holmes Grove Church and look forward to what
God has instore for us in 2022. God bless everyone.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Dr. John P. Henry, Jr.
